Changing leaves and chilly nights signal the start of a new season, and there’s no better time to reassess your shed situation! Don’t get spooked—Within the Grove’s Liz Rishel is here to share her top tips to achieve organizational Zen during fall put-away.

Start Fresh

The first step in organizing any space is to take stock of what you’ve got. Empty your shed and carefully sort through your belongings. Decide what to keep, donate, and toss. Once your shed cleanout is complete, sweep out debris and wipe down surfaces. Suncast sheds are made from durable resin, which is a breeze to clean—a hose and some mild soap are all you need to wash away dirt and grime.

Make the Most of Your Space

Once you’ve got your stuff sorted, designate specific areas of your shed for gardening tools, seasonal décor, sports equipment, and maintenance supplies. Corral smaller items in wall-mounted baskets or on shelves. A tool hanger is a handy way to keep long-handled tools off the ground, giving you more room for stackable bins.
